NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology, USA) sponsors and organizes a series of workshop sessions under the name “Standards and Test Methods Workshop at WearRAcon16”.

One workshop session in this series is called “NIST Workshop 2: Test Methods for Wearable Robots”

Content: This workshop session is a short introduction and discussion with the audience on the need and possible content of testing methods for wearable robots. The first goal is to inform workshop participants of some possible test methods to consider for wearable robots. Further discussion will be focused on the questions:

  • How to proceed with test method developments for wearable robots
  • Types of test methods needed
  • Who can provide test method development support


Producers of wearable robots as well as potential customers, clients or users, as well as representatives of federal institutes are invited to participate in the discussion.
